Mekong 1 day Xeo Quit


Southeast of Cao lanh and accessible by boat tour is the 46 hectare Rung Tram forest near My Hiep village.It’s one of the last natural forests left in the Mekong delta. During the American war The VC had a base here called Xeo Quit ,where top-brass VC lived in underground bunkers but don’t mistake this for another Cu chi tunnel it’s very different


         We pick you up at 8:00AM, and then we depart to the first visit place, My Hiep Village. On the way there, you will have a full view of farmers working in there rice fields where you can walk around for the nice photographs. In MyHiep village, you will spend about 40 minutes boat trip cruising along the lush green canals which are very beautiful to reach the second place called Xeo Quit – Tram Forest. There, you will take an hour rowing boat trip into the forest.
         You can also witness Vietcong´s military base built during the war in Vietnam. After that, we´ll have lunch at a small restaurant in the forest. Then, we will continue your trip to BinhThanh island surrounded by beautiful orchards for sightseeing. After that, our van will take us to SaDec town to visit bonsai garden and take a short trek around SaDec market so you can see the daily life of local people. On the way back to My Tho, we will cross the most beautiful bridge in VietNam – a gift from Australia - named My Thuan. The whole view of the Mekong Delta can be seen when our van reach to the highest point of the bridge. Arrive at My Tho, the guide will show you one of the famous snake farm in Mekong Delta. Back to Saigon at around 6:00PM.
